WELCOME
I am Sergio Molina, an environmental and forest economist passionate about building bridges between science, policy, and sustainable practice. My work focuses on unlocking the value of forests, ecosystems, and bio-based resources to support economic development that respects environmental limits.
Over the past two decades, I have collaborated mainly from academia, partnering with institutions such as the University of Minnesota, the Costa Rican National Forestry Office, and 3M Corporation to advance sustainable forestry, climate action, and circular economy strategies. Through teaching, research, and consulting, I explore how economics can drive solutions to environmental challenges and empower more resilient communities, organizations, and societies.
My work has been recognized by organizations such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Academy of Management (AOM) for its contribution to innovation and sustainable development.
This site is a space to connect ideas, share projects, and foster collaborations that seek to integrate innovation, sustainability, and economic intelligence. Whether through academic work, applied research, or strategic advising, my goal is to contribute to a future where nature and prosperity thrive together.
Thank you for visiting — I invite you to explore and connect.
